Koni Schafroth, Dipl Ing. ETH: Koni studied mechanical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, and is a designer and test pilot of gliding parachutes and flying wings. He also developed, built and commercialized a clockwork mechanism with the precision of a quartz watch (based on his own idea and the corresponding patents) for Cartier. He is the initiator of the SmartFish Project. He coordinates and controls all participating partners of the project. He has achieved high recognition in his home country of Switzerland, since SmartFish has been used in a television commercial for an insurance company.

Hans Pflugshaupt studied mechanical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Later on he worked for 25 years as an aerodynamicist in the wind tunnel of Ruag Aerospace and was responsible for different projects in subsonic, transsonic and supersonic flows. He has also worked as a systems engineer for the FA-18 and was responsible for the improvement of combat effectiveness of the Mirage III. With his broad experience he is in charge of the engine and system integration.
