Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH is one of the leading suppliers of advanced systems for the aviation industry. It delivers its products in the field of flight control and actuation systems and landing gears to almost all well-known aircraft manufacturers worldwide.
Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH has established itself as No.1 in the field of actuation for high lift systems. These systems are applied in the whole aircraft range: from the smallest business jet up to the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the A380.
In addition to the high lift actuators there are more examples of flight controls and „High Tech made in Germany“: the first fully electronic Fly-by-Wire flight control for the military helicopter NH90, essential parts of the flight control of the Airbus A380, and the complete Fly-by-Wire flight control system for the Russian regional aircraft SuperJet100. Here, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH holds a special position in the aviation branch worldwide.
In the field of landing gear systems Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH offers also complete systems. It develops and delivers the nose landing gear of the new Airbus A350 XWB as well as the complete landing gear system of the Chinese regional aircraft ARJ21. Furthermore it is responsible for the entire landing gear for the Embraer 170/190 including brakes.
Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg’s innovation capabilities are being used continually for research and development. A highly qualified team of engineers works on new technologies like for example the fuel cell.
Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH is known for its continuous innovation capabilities regarding research and development projects. In 2008, 1,972 employees accomplished a turnover of 499 Mio. EUR
The SmartFish project will be supported by Liebherr Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH regarding the Landing Gear System in:
- Landing gear design studies
- Ground and landing loads calculation
- Detail design of the landing gear
- Manufacturing of prototype units
- Testing and qualification
